SUPPORTING THE MZANSI SUPER LEAGUE!
South African Airways is proud to be a partner in the new Mzansi Super League T20 cricket competition. Set to be the sport and entertainment spectacle of the South African summer, it features some of the world’s top cricket talent, including South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and AB de Villiers, West Indies’ Chris Gayle, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and England’s Jason Roy.
While the billed talent will be top-class, featuring established Proteas (South African national cricket team) alongside their international counterparts, the competition will also serve as a launching pad for the next generation of T20 talent.
In leading the operational structures of Cricket South Africa (Cricket SA), Chief Executive Thabang Moroe has ticked all the boxes to ensure that the tournament was ready for take-off – and ready to entertain local and international fans.
“Part of our responsibility as Cricket SA is to carry the game of cricket to all corners of the country, and to showcase our diversity and culture to the rest of the world – just as SAA has in the past 84 years,” said Moroe. “We want to change how the game of cricket is viewed, not just in the country or on the African continent, but on the world stage – and we want to do that with a unique South African view.”
