Gold Reef City Theme Park is dishing out the dare of the decade with its new Dare to Ride promotion.
The Theme Park is challenging all thrill-seeking daredevils to buckle up and ride 10 of the most electrifying rides in the theme park for a chance to win a share of over R120 000 in cash and prizes, including free entry into the Theme Park for a year.
The Rules of Engagement
Purchase your Dare to Ride ticket and don your armband. Then, find a safe place to keep your ticket which will serve as your Dare to Ride entry form.
As you go about your day get your entry form stamped by the operators when you finish these ten thrilling rides:

- Storm Chaser
- UFO
- Miners Revenge
- Tornado
- Mermaid
- Jozi Express
- Wave Swings
- Golden Loop
- Jump City
You will also have to search for a secret word that will be hidden at each ride. Simply write the secret word in the space provided on your entry form. You must have all ten stamps and all ten secret words to stand a chance to win!
The Prelims
Three draws will take place – one on each of the following Saturdays: 25 May, 9 June and 27 July.
Ten names will be drawn (at each draw), totalling thirty lucky finalists to be entered into the ultimate Dare to Ride draw that will take place on Saturday, 3 August. And this is where it really starts to get exciting.
The Prizes
The first prize winner will receive a whopping R75 000’s worth of prizes, including two Theme Park tickets per visit for 12 months, four movie tickets per month, four ten-pin bowling tickets per month, a R500 meal voucher per month for 12 months, a once-off two night hotel stay and a very fruitful R50 000 in cold hard cash.
The second prize is a decadent R20 000 in cash, while the third to fifth prizes are a generous R5 000 each, also in cold, hard cash.
The Bonus
As a special bonus to this thrilling and exclusive promotion, a Wild Card winner will be drawn from all the entries over the promotional period (so everyone other than the 30 finalists) bagging free access to the Theme Park for an entire year. Sweeeet!
