What’s better than a holiday at the beach?

If you feel the sun, sand and sea calling to you for your next holiday don’t book your trip without first checking TripAdvisor’s list of the top beach breaks for 2019.

The travel, accommodation and restaurant review website recently released the results of its Travellers Choice Awards and we’ve rounded up the Top 10 beaches as voted for by travellers just like you.

10. Seven Mile Beach, Jamaica

Coming in at number 10 Jamaica’s Seven Mile Beach in Negril is the ideal setting for the tropical tourist.

The beach appears to go and on and with all the activities and attractions it is the perfect place for the whole family. The best time to visit Jamaica’s Seven Mile is all year round.

9. Playa Norte, Mexico

Lined with palm trees, lounger chairs, restaurants and bars this sandy beach is one of the most beautiful in Mexico.

Located on the north end of Isla Mujeres, which is just off the coast of popular party-goers destination Cancun, Playa Norte is a beach lovers paradise.

Yachts and boats dock here for the day and residents, tourists to the island and day-trippers all congregate to enjoy the water here. The best part is that it’s perfect all year round.

8. Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman

On the western end of Grand Cayman Island, you will find the award-winning Seven Mile Beach. With its sparkling waters and coral sand, Seven Mile attracts travellers from all over the world.

This picturesque shoreline is home to many of the Caribbean’s most luxurious properties. The expansive waterfront is open to the public, making it possible to walk the full length of the shore regardless of where you’re staying and it is perfect all year round.

7. Spiaggia dei Conigli, Islands of Sicily

Spiaggia dei Conigli, also known as Rabbit Beach, boasts a rugged coastline, crystal clear blue water and wild views so it’s not hard to see why it was voted the world’s best beach by Trip Advisor in 2013.

Spiaggia dei Conigli is so pristine it’s even a firm favourite with nature as one of the last locations chosen by loggerhead turtles as a nesting place. The best time to visit this swimmers paradise is between May and September.

6. Clearwater Beach, Florida

Known for its calm waters Clearwater Beach in Florida, has often been called America’s number one beach. Beautiful white sands and clear, shallow water make it an ideal playground for families.

It is also perfect for the adventure seeker and you will often find people having fun on the water jet-skiing, parasailing and stand-up paddleboarding. With its vibrant atmosphere, Clearwater is perfect all year round.

Grace Bay Beach in the Turks and Caicos is lined with hotels and restaurants and it’s not hard to see why. With 11km’s of powdery soft white sand and warm shallow water, Grace Bay offers unmatched views.

Located at the Bay of La Concha in the Basque Country, northern Spain La Concha is well known for its picturesque views and bustling vibe.

This crescent-shaped, urban beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and paddling and because it’s surrounded by mountains, it also perfectly protected against the wind and high waves.

If you’re up for a little bit of an adventure Baía do Sancho in Fernando de Noronha, Brazil is a protected cove of bright blue waters backed by forest and cliffs.

This stunning stretch of silky soft sand can only be accessed by either descending a series of ladders on the cliffs or by boat making it the perfect beach break for the adventurous traveller. The best time to visit is all year round.
