Sports
Sanlam Cape Town Marathon
The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is scheduled to take place on 14 and 15 September.
Items include the 5km Peace Run, 12km Peace Trail Run, and 22km Peace Trail Run on the 14th, and the 10km Peace Run and 42.2km marathon on the 15th.
Entries have closed for athletes, but there will be plenty spectator sports.
Hansa Fish River Canoe Marathon
The Hansa Fish River Canoe Marathon, with a total marathon distance of 81.8km, is happening from 27 to 28 September.
The closing date to enter the race is 23 September. All potential racers should fulfil CSA requirements for competency and proficiency.
Expos
Wine and Food Tourism Conference
In its fourth year, the Wine and Food Tourism Conference will be held on 18 September at Spier, Stellenbosch.
Learn about the latest trends in the tourism, food and wine industries. Among this year’s speakers are strategists Dion Chang and Katlego Ditlhokwe, and former tourism minister Derek Hanekom.

Comic Con Africa
With the success of the 2018 event, Comic Con Africa returns to the Gallagher Convention Centre from 21 to 24 September.
Comic Con showcases the latest comic books, gaming and everything about pop culture. Tickets are selling from R160 at Computicket.
