One of the oldest wine farms in the picturesque Constantia Wine Valley is home to a vibrant new signature restaurant called Tryn.

Dedicated to Steenberg’s 17th-century founder, Catharina Ras, or Tryn as she was known to her nearest and dearest, the new restaurant is contemporary in spirit with fabulous food, bold accents and modern textures.

With the festive season fast approaching, Tryn’s Chef Kerry is preparing to treat her guests with spectacular 6-course Christmas and New Year’s Eve menus.

At Tryn, Chef Kerry takes her culinary skills to the next level, with special festive season menus of pure delight starting with a glass of Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay Cap Classique on arrival.

A Tailormade Christmas Feast

All the dishes on the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day menu have been specially created by Chef Kerry.

First up is the ash crusted chevin amuse-bouche to fire up the taste buds, followed by her famous grilled prawns, sustainable fish and grilled beef fillet all bursting with unexpected flavour combinations.

For Christmas dessert, her chocolate torte is pure decadence on a plate with a selection of friandise bringing this festive feast to an opulent close. All the dishes are paired with a selection of fine Steenberg wines.
